08 – Onionlab »Echoes of Light«

“Echoes of Light” is an immersive installation that explores identity as a fragmented and ever-changing reflection shaped by our relationships and surroundings. Using tilted mirrors, light beams, and music, it invites visitors to experience how their presence transforms into a luminous and sonic choreography. The journey progresses from fragmentation to connection, marked by moments of clarity when reflections align. It is also a collective experience, showing how identity is formed in relation to others, enhanced by Shinji Wakasa’s evocative soundscape.

Onionlab is a multidisciplinary studio that directs and produces audiovisual installations and exhibitions. Onionlab is based in Barcelona and operates worldwide. The studio’s works are centred around aesthetic attention to detail and technical innovation. Combining space and content is one of its strongest points. It has extensive experience creating interactive and audio-visual installations for top-level events and exhibitions, such as the renowned light festivals around the world, world Expos, or the Venice Biennale.
